Santos watch, medium model, mechanical movement with automatic winding, caliber 1847 MC. 18K yellow gold case, 18K yellow gold 7- sided crown set with a faceted sapphire, silvered opaline dial, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. 18K yellow gold bracelet with “Smart Link” adjustment system. Second bracelet in alligator skin, with interchangeable 18K yellow gold folding buckle. Both bracelets are fitted with the “Quick Switch” interchangeability system. Case width: 35.1 mm, thickness: 8.83 mm. Water- resistant to 10 bar (approx. 100 meters). 1904, Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell time while flying. The birth of one of the first ever wristwatches sealed the bonds of friendship between these two pioneers.
