Piaget Limelight 'Baguette' Diamond Dress Watch

For most of its existence, Piaget operated quietly behind the proverbial horology curtain, producing some of the most mechanical movements in Switzerland.

But when the Piaget name was displayed on the dial, the brand embodied a distinguishable lavish style that became synonymous with a period of opulence, representative of the American dream in the 1960s and 70s, as well as those wore it — Andy Warhol, Roger Moore, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elvis Presley, and many more.

While Piaget was known for "letting their hair down" in that era, the manufacture took a step in a different direction when they debuted the Limelight Gala collection in 19 73. With the design language remains Piaget, the intent here was to fully lean into the Gala aesthetic — bold, brash elegance and lots of diamonds.

This piece dates back to 2021 and features a 42m m x 29mm , 18 K white gold, factory diamond set, rectangular case with a sapphire crystal and a white gold crown with a diamond in set. The main feature here however is the full, baguette dial simply complemented by a 'dauphine' handset and the stylized Piaget signature

Outfitted with a signed black alligator leather strap with a matching 18K whit e gold, double-fold, diamond set clasp, this piece is powered by the Calibre 8 58P quartz movement.
