The 1912 design of the watch that would later be christened the “Baignoire” demonstrated Cartier's prowess in crafting watchmaking forms. An elegant ellipse uniquely forged in a single line, the “Baignoire” watch is the essence of Cartier style: an unmatched marriage of purity and timeless chic.
Baignoire de Cartier watch, small model, quartz movement. 18K rose gold (750/1000) case set with 42 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 0.48 carats. Rose gold 750/1000 beaded crown set with a diamond cabochon totaling 0.08 carats. Silvered dial, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. Varnished red alligator-skin strap, rose gold 750/1000 ardillon buckle. Length: 31.4 mm, width: 23.09 mm, thickness: 6.95 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 meters).
