For this model, one of three exclusive editions, the Watches of Switzerland Group is proud to partner with Grand Seiko for a stunning timepiece honouring one of Japan's most scenic spots, Jōdogahama beach in the Northern Tōhoku region. This 40m m stainless steel model is inspired by the starry skies and moonlit waters of Jōdogahama, a designated 'place of scenic beauty'. The grey mosaic patterned dial and blue seconds hand evoke the wonder of the cosmos in an elegant, understated fashion. THE ART OF HORO LOGY Equipped with ultra-precise movements and artisan techniques of beauty and precision, Grand Seiko timepieces balance superb per formance with iconic design. This approach is immediately visible in this grey Heritage model, pairing the intricate radial pattern of the dial with the case and bracelet, both meticulously polished using the refined 'Zaratsu' polishing method. Directly based on t he 1967 design, the 62GS, this model radiates true vintage charm, underpinned by advanced watch technology in the form of the 9S85 c alibre automatic movement. This iconic, in-house movement is both durable and precise, accurate from +5 to -3 seconds per day and fe aturing a 55hr power reserve. The sapphire back of the case reveals the intricate movement within, while remaining water resistant t o 10 bar (100 metres).
