We admittedly have a thing for Reversos. Whether classic or contemporary, the Reverso has become a staple in the collections of many men (and women) of discerning taste. That said, the Reverso is far from the only great watch JLC made. This Duoplan is exactly what we mean.

Introduced in 1925, the JLC Duoplan movement was revolutionary for the watch industry. It simultaneously was supremely small and thin, and also highly accurate. In a world where these two objectives are often in a tug of war with one another, the Duoplan helped accelerate the advancement of the watchmaking industry as a whole.

This particular backwinding Duoplan exploits this mechanical advantage to its fullest. A tiny little dress piece, this 16mm rose gold piece features a lovely patinated salmon dial with Arabic numerals, a two tone dial finish, and blued steel hands for a pop of color.

This piece is topped off with petite lugs sticking off the block center case. Tiny on the wrist but mighty in its history, this piece bears an important part of JLC's history and the history of ultra-thin watchmaking in general.
