Unknown Lucien Piccard Ladies Diamond 'Cocktail' Watch - (Ref. 40992888 AS11651) Product Details

Overall Condition: Great overall condition with some wear from its age. The dial has gathered some patina while the markers and hands are in excellent condition.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the cocktail watch wasn’t just an accessory, it was part of the occasion. These pieces were designed to disappear into the rhythm of an evening, catching light rather than attention, pairing effortlessly with silk, champagne, and late hours. Small in scale but often extravagant in execution, they balanced mechanical ingenuity with jewelry-level artistry in a way that feels increasingly rare today.

This particular example from Lucien Piccard captures that spirit beautifully. Founded in 1923 in Lausanne, the brand built its reputation on elegant, refined dress watches, and this piece leans fully into that heritage. The petite dial sits almost like a secret at the center of a fully diamond-set case, framed by brilliant stones that extend seamlessly into a 'tennis' style bracelet. Tapered 'baguette' accents add structure and geometry, giving the piece just enough architectural edge to balance the sparkle.

Look closer, and the charm deepens. The signed crown features Piccard’s signature flourish — a subtle, almost whimsical curlicue that feels delightfully out of step with the otherwise formal design. It’s a small detail, but exactly the kind that gives a watch personality. Finished with a box clasp and safety latch, the diamond 'tennis' style bracelet wears as fluidly as it looks.

Light, intricate, and undeniably glamorous, it’s a reminder of a time when watches were made not just to tell time, but to celebrate it.
