Marvin Watch Company may no longer be a household name, but the Swiss-founded firm made numerous beautiful dress watches, everyday watches, and chronographs before its collapse during the Quartz Crisis. Founded in Saint-Imier in 1850, the company was particularly adept at designing simple time-only pieces.

But "simple" need not equate with "boring," as is evidenced by this elegant gold dress watch presented in the form of a bracelet. Consisting of hollow, 'scalloped' links that blend seamlessly together, it features a hinged bezel that opens to reveal a rectangular watch head. A silvered dial with an outer minute track, gold 'Arabic' and dot indices, and a 'stick' handset are all that is needed to clearly indicate the time.
