Universal Genève spent the 1950s and '60s building one of the most impressive catalogs in Swiss watchmaking. By the following decade, the manufacture embraced a new design language—sleeker, more aerodynamic, and perfectly in step with the era's fascination with streamlined forms. Introduced in the late 1960s, the White Shadow was built around one of Universal Genève's greatest technical achievements: the ultra-thin automatic Microtor movement. Rather than using a conventional full-sized oscillating weight, the ingenious micro-rotor architecture allowed the movement to remain exceptionally slim without sacrificing the convenience of automatic winding. It was an engineering milestone that helped define an entire generation of elegant everyday watches.

This stainless steel example from the 1970s measures 35mm and pairs its softly sculpted tonneau-inspired case with a rich black dial accented by applied baton markers, slender hands, and a framed date aperture at three o'clock.
