WHY WE LOVE IT

No, it’s not a Tank. And yes, it deserves your attention!

While Parisian jeweler to the stars Cartier may be best known in horological circles for its famed Tank watch, the French firm produced — and continues to produce — numerous other watch models that deserve equal billing for their unique and sumptuous designs. 

The Pasha is one such design. Launched in 1985, it was supposedly inspired by the lines of a one-off commission from 1932 for the Pasha of Marrakesh that featured a screw-down, waterproof housing over the crown. None other than famed watch designer Gérald Genta was the one who revived the design in the 1980s, launching yet another winning collection for the famed Parisian jeweler and watchmaker. 

This particular Pasha, a Reference 2790 is an automatic variant intended for diving. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with T-lugs, it features a bidirectional rotating stainless steel timing bezel, a luminous satin black dial with printed, stylized Arabic indices, a matching kite handset, a date at 4:30 with magnifier, a cap-and-chain crown protector, and a stainless steel, H-link bracelet with a hidden deployant clasp.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in good condition overall showing heavy wear from age and use. Luminous satin black dial with printed indices is in outstanding, as-new condition with matching 'kite' handset. Unsigned crown with cap & chain screw-down protector. Bezel shows wear.

Returns Policy

10-Day Returns For Timepieces:

Timepieces purchased online can be returned or exchanged within 10 days from when they are shipped or collected.

30-Day Returns For All Other Purchases:

All other online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from when they are shipped or collected.

On presentation of the original receipt, your purchases may be returned or exchanged at any of our store locations. Alternatively, you may elect shipping to our facility with all the original paperwork. All refunds must be credited to the same tender used for the original purchase. To return the online purchases through secure shipping service, please contact our client service team who will provide you the shipping label.

All returns or exchanges must be in new, unworn condition, with no scratches or markings, not sized or adjusted and in their original packaging and with warranty cards / certificated and instruction booklets.
