Perhaps it's ironic, but sunrise in ‘The City That Never Sleeps’ always brings palpable energy of infinite possibility, a collective sense of renewal. It's the dawn of a new day, getting down to work and being of service.

SoHo is an epicenter for that sense of possibility, a neighborhood known for art, culture, and dance. This scene is symbolic of that joyful choreography that plays out on city streets each morning. The feeling of energy as an international metropolis roars back to life.

Shōsho, the Japanese word for the arrival of summer as the rainy spring season comes to an end, marks a turning point similar to daybreak. Based on the distinct characteristics of the four seasons, the Grand Seiko Elegance collection draws inspiration from constant change.

Exclusive to Watches of Switzerland, the 39.5 mm stainless steel watch features the automatic manually wound movement, Caliber 9S86, with a 55-hour power reserve. The GMT function provides a second 24-hour dual-time display, a date window at 3, with a textured dial that brings to mind sun glistening on shimmering water.
